We are seeking a Product Designer to join our Subscriptions Design team. Subscriptions has been a primary driver of Spotify’s success, powering sustainable free and paid Premium user growth across music, podcasts, and audiobooks. This role sits at the heart of the Freemium funnel, while also supporting core subscription foundations including account and subscriptions management, payment experiences such as billing and order management, customer support journeys and internal CS tooling.
You’ll design seamless, scalable experiences that help users discover value, manage their subscriptions with confidence, and get help when they need it. You’ll also explore emerging patterns in conversational and agentic experiences, helping define how AI-enabled flows support subscription growth and service resolution.
You are a systems thinker and execution-focused product designer who can work autonomously across the full product lifecycle. You care deeply about craft, experimentation, and tying design decisions to measurable business impact.
What You’ll Do
- Lead design across the full lifecycle: discovery, ideation, prototyping, validation, launch, and iteration.
- Act as the primary design partner for your team, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Data, Research, and Content.
- Translate complex business, technical, and regulatory constraints into intuitive, user-centered experiences.
- Design and improve end-to-end subscription journeys (e.g. billing, renewals, plan changes, cancellations), ensuring transparency, consistency, and trust.
- Create scalable, global payment and account management experiences across platforms, including edge cases and regional variations.
- Design self-serve and AI-assisted support experiences, and improve integration between product and support flows.
- Partner with teams to design internal tools that support operational and support workflows.
- Use data and research to define problems, design experiments, and validate solutions.
- Balance rapid experimentation with long-term experience quality and system coherence.
- Ensure alignment with design systems and contribute to scalable patterns across surfaces.
- Advocate for high design quality and help raise the bar for craft across the team.
Who You Are
- 5+ years of experience designing consumer digital products, ideally across complex ecosystems.
- Strong systems thinker, comfortable with ambiguity, edge cases, and regulated domains (e.g. payments, compliance).
- Skilled in interaction design, prototyping, and high-fidelity execution.
- Experienced in experimentation-driven environments, with an understanding of subscriptions, pricing, and retention.
- Able to connect user experience decisions to measurable business impact while balancing user trust.
- Familiar with conversational UX and AI-assisted workflows, and comfortable using AI tools in your design process.
- Thoughtful about ethics, transparency, and accessibility in AI-driven experiences.
- Clear communicator who can articulate decisions, align stakeholders, and collaborate across disciplines.
- Self-sufficient and proactive — able to operate independently, anticipate challenges, and drive improvements beyond your scope.
Where You’ll Be
- This role is based in London or Stockholm
- We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.
